Wednesday Nights Satellites (that rhymes)
7th-12th grade students meet Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8pm, @ Planet Old School (the old Elementary, 101 West Pecan). We eat, hang out, play some games, worship, and learn stuff about God, like who He is and how we can live for Him. Sound good? NO, it sounds great!...email roy@thegbf.com for more info.

Small Group Bible Study Sunday morning, 10:30(after "big church") in the youth room. Small groups are a time to learn, hear, and be heard without pressure or criticism. Ask anything you want...yes anything...even that. So don't miss it, Sunday morning, 10:30(after "big church") in the youth room

HS STUDENTS: LUNAR RED PLANET (Roy and Casey's) Sunday nights at 7:30. HS students, come hang out at our house, eat our food, tear up our stuff, and develop a WORLDVIEW through a God sized lens. For the next several weeks we'll be looking at the book of Ecclesiastes, and emphasising the concept of LEARNING TO LIVE, to avoid the pain and scars of LIVING AND LEARNING.
You can relax, be yourself, get to know us, and more importantly, the God that made you. All HS students are welcome. PLEASE bring a Bible.

Whirleyball!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that everyone had as much fun playing Whirleyball as I did! Lots of good laughs and good fun…
No youth meeting on Wednesday night for the next couple of weeks, July 15 & July 22 :( ….But we’ll all go to Hawaiian Falls on the 29th!!! See the calendar for details.

Want to SERVE? - SMAK July 20-24

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS! 7th - 12th GRADERS NEEDED!!!
The GBF children's ministry will be holding SMAK (Summer Music Activities for Kids) camp July 20th - 24th. If you are available and would like to volunteer to get you SMAKon' contact our children's minister Mandy Turner mandy@thegbf.com ...or call the church office @ 903-433-1732 and get some mo' nfo'.
If you don't know Mandy, don't let that creep you out, she's cool, she's like a youth minister, but with EVEN MORE patience : )...it'll be fun to serve with her and her team of leaders.

This week was awesome. We played some chicken baseball, Erika gave us some mad tips about being set apart, and we learned about king Nebuchadnezzar and how God punished him for his selfishness by turning him into a freak-O cow man. Hey, remember week after next we're all going to F.B.C Howe to eat their food and listen to their special speaker. So that's Wednesday May 13th, road trip to FBC Howe!

WANT TO HELP?

Become A Youth Shepherd: If you have a love for God, a love for students and would like to make a God-sized difference in their lives, becoming a youth shepherd may be for you! Your first step would be to come to one of our weekly youth meetings, see what you think, and then talk to Roy ( roy@thegbf.com ) about where to go from there.
Provide A Meal: We currently have rotating volunteers on a schedule who provide food for students each Wednesday night. If your interested in being put on this rotation, contact Lara Martin: laralmartin@yahoo.com
Donate: we are always in need of bottled water and paper goods for the youth that we provide food for on Wendnesdays, just drop off your donations at Planet Old School (the GBF youth room)
